The process, step by step
- Pick your squares. On the buy page, drag out a rectangle of free squares anywhere on the 100 × 100 grid. You see the full price straight away. It’s first come, first served.
- We hold them for you. Your squares are held for 15 minutes while you add your ad, and for the whole time the payment page is open, so nobody else can take them.
- Add your ad. Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP image up to 2 MB, a title of up to 80 characters and a link to your website. Each square is 20 × 20 pixels, and you see exactly how your image will look before you pay.
- Pay securely. Payment is by card through Stripe. The price on the page is the price you pay, with nothing added at checkout.
- A person checks your ad. Every ad is approved by hand before it goes up, usually within a day. We check the image, the title and where the link goes.
- Your ad goes live. We email you when it’s on the grid. It stays there for good, with no renewals or monthly fees.
House rules
- I approve every ad before it goes up.
- No hate, adult content, scams, gambling, vapes or anything illegal.
- If I can’t accept your ad you get a full refund.
- First come, first served.
Refunds
- If we can’t accept your ad, we refund the full amount to the card you paid with, automatically, and email you to say why. You don’t need to ask.
- If your payment arrives after your hold ran out and someone else has the squares, you get a full refund automatically.
- Refunds usually reach your account within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank.
- Changing your mind: at checkout you ask us to supply your ad straight away, which means the usual 14-day cancellation period doesn’t apply. If something has gone wrong, email [email protected] and we’ll sort it out. This doesn’t affect your legal rights.
If an ad breaks the rules later
We re-check every link on the grid each week. If a live ad starts breaking the house rules, for example if its link now leads to a scam or malware, we can take it down. The details are in the terms.
